ACPM Advisory is a wholly owned subsidiary of the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM), the medical specialty society of physicians dedicated to disease prevention, health promotion and systems-based health care improvement and the leading US-based physician organization focused on practice, research, publication, and teaching of evidence-based public health and preventive medicine. Since its founding in 1954, ACPM has been at the forefront of advancing prevention science, translating research into practice, and shaping national policy.
Leadership

With a proven track record of building and guiding fast-growing ventures into the middle market, and of thought leadership in both public and private sectors, the team combines entrepreneurial vision with depth of expertise that makes ACPM Advisory a sought-after collaborator for government and industry partners alike.
Mark Howard Chichester brings three decades of executive management, organizational and board leadership experience to his role as Entrepreneur-in-Residence and Principal at ACPM Advisory.
Mark has served as a senior advisor to the Under Secretary for Health at the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), the nation's largest integrated health system, with upward of 400,000 employees; as president of an award-winning, middle market consultancy leading enterprise-level transformation efforts for VA; and as a vice president at The Aspen Institute.
He was a member of the executive staff of former Congressman Bill Gray at UNCF, where he led the Division of Policy Studies and Research and oversaw the Institute for International Public Policy and the Center for Assessment, Planning and Accountability. Prior to his tenure at UNCF, he worked on former UN Ambassador Edward Perkins’ policy coordination staff in the Office of the Director General at the U.S. Department of State.
Mark has been a member of the boards of the PeaceTech Lab, GW Medical Faculty Associates, the National Education Association Foundation, and the Forum on Education Abroad; and he is currently vice chair and a member of the executive committee of the board of trustees of George Washington University. Mark has been a member of the U.S. Army Chief of Staff's Eisenhower National Security Series Working Group; a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, where he co-chaired the Term Member Advisory Committee; and an appointee to the U.S. Trade Representative's Trade Advisory Committee on Africa.
Mark holds degrees in business and law from The George Washington University, held a Shapiro Fellowship in the Republic of Korea, and is an alum of the Aspen Institute Executive Seminar.
